Sensebit acquires Visy Oy, a market leading supplier of software systems for image recognition and automation in the transportation infrastructure market. Visy’s system is used by industrial companies as well as ports and terminal operators in 25 countries. As part of the Sensebit group, Visy further strengthens its technical platform and will be able to offer customers within the road vertical complete solutions for data collection and intelligent transport systems (ITS). Visy management invests in the joint group. Helix Kapital remains as majority owner and NEA Partners joins as minority owner.
Sensebit, together with its subsidiary Trafikia, is the Nordic market leader in traffic data collection and analysis. The company offers system integration services with its proprietary hardware and software solutions. It serves public sector customers including national road authorities, municipalities, as well as private customers in the Nordic region, Germany, and a dozen other export markets.
